Ainslie Arts Center & Pendleton HallThe Ainslie Arts Center, built in 2003, houses the Allen Midi Lab and Recording Studio, The Breeden Black Box Theater, and a dance studio; classrooms for arts courses; and the Angie Newman Johnson Gallery. Pendleton Hall, adjacent to the Arts Center, features Fox Stage with a state-of-the-art auditorium with more than 500 seats, Craig Theater, and Coxe Piano Studio. |

Bryan Library & School ArchivesOne of the oldest buildings on campus, Bryan Library was completely renovated in 2007. It is available to students as a place to study and read, bringing new life to the space. The School Archives is located on the second floor of Brian Library and appraises, preserves, and makes accessible the primary source materials, which document the School’s history from its 1839 founding to the present. |

Crosland Alumni CottageThe alumni cottage has four bedrooms available for use by alumni and other friends of the School while visiting campus. |

deButts Health & Wellness CenterOpened in spring 2023, the deButts Health & Wellness Center provides comprehensive health care to the EHS student community. Services include an advanced school health clinic, medication dispensary, 24/7 care in a sophisticated eight bed infirmary, a full service counseling department, and a multipurpose wellness center all housed in a beautiful, 17,000 square feet, state-of-the-art facility in the center of campus. |

Hoxton House and Laird Dining HallHoxton House, the main building on campus, houses the Head of School’s Office, other administrative offices including Community & Equity, faculty, academics, and student life, and Laird Dining Hall. Built in the early 1800s, the house was the home of Martha Washington’s granddaughter, Elizabeth Custis Law. |

DormitoriesAt Episcopal, our ten dormitories provide more than just a place to sleep — they foster a vibrant, close-knit community where students form lifelong friendships and develop independence in a supportive environment. All ninth-grade students begin their boarding experience in Henderson Hall, also known as The Freshmen Village, where separate dorms for boys and girls create a welcoming and structured transition to high school life. As students progress through their years at EHS, they move into upper-class dorms, each offering unique traditions and a strong sense of camaraderie. With dedicated faculty living on dorm and serving as mentors, Episcopal’s residential life ensures that every student feels at home, supported, and ready to thrive in and beyond the classroom. |
