Biography:
Since 2008, Warren has been a dedicated advocate for students navigating the complex landscape of college admissions, bringing nearly two decades of expertise to this pivotal educational journey. Beginning his career in higher education as the senior regional admissions counselor for his alma mater, Louisiana State University, and later advancing to senior assistant director for regional enrollment at Miami University, Warren developed a comprehensive understanding of admission processes from the institutional perspective. His passion for cultivating meaningful relationships with students and families eventually led him to transition to what colleagues refer to as "the other side of the desk," where he has thrived as a college counselor at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School in Atlanta, Ga., and St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C.
Warren's distinctive approach focuses on positioning students for success during critical moments of their high school careers while helping them authentically express their unique personalities. His commitment to the profession extends beyond daily counseling through his service on the board of directors for the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling and his active participation on counselor advisory boards for numerous colleges and universities nationwide. Currently, he serves as a board trustee for the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools (ACCIS) and co-leads the Black and African Diaspora Interest Group for the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). At Episcopal, Warren enriches the community as co-advisor for both the Black Student Alliance and the Black/African American Affinity space.
Beyond his professional achievements, Warren embraces life as an enthusiastic foodie who delights in both cooking at home and exploring D.C.'s diverse culinary landscape. His personal passions include traveling to experience new cultures, attending music concerts, and cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers during college football season.
