​Biography:
Matthew joins Episcopal High School after three years at Blue Ridge School, where he served as the Spanish department chair,  a Spanish teacher, a soccer coach, an advisor, and a dorm parent. Prior to his career in education, Matthew worked as a professional chef. He holds a B.A. in Spanish, a B.S. in Marketing, an M.A. in Spanish, and a Ph.D. in Spanish language and literature.

At EHS, Matthew will teach four sections of Spanish, assist with two seasons of sports media, serve as a dorm parent, and co-advise freshman boys with his wife, María. Matthew and María will live in the apartment on the second floor of McAllister.
