It was a historic moment on The Holy Hill as three students of color were simultaneously elected by their peers to the top three leadership positions: Sydney Hopkins, head monitor; Jachin Ejim, head of the Honor Committee; and Patricia Okwueze, head of the Discipline Committee. “I am so blessed and grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to taking our community to new heights,” said Sydney.
After the results were announced, Head of School Charley Stillwell said, “I am so proud of our new student leaders and really looking forward to the work we will do together next year. This is an exciting first at EHS, and I know our community is in excellent hands with these phenomenal students at the helm.”
This year's student leadership selection process for Head Monitor, Senior Monitors, Honor Committee, and Discipline Committee included the submission of statements of purpose by each candidate which were on display for several days ahead of the all-School election. It was impressive to see how many students put themselves forward for consideration this year, sharing their respective visions for leading EHS.
