Biography:
After graduating from Episcopal in 2003, Hannah received her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance and German from Birmingham-Southern College and spent 12 years as a professional opera singer in Europe and the U.S. Before returning to Episcopal, she taught German in Fauquier County Public Schools. She recently completed a Master’s in German, with a concentration in Teaching.

At Episcopal, Hannah teaches levels 1 - 4 of German (regular and honors) as well as several Advanced German elective courses, including one preparing for the AP exam. She also leads the biennial Austrian exchange program with our partner school in Vienna, the Theresianum. In addition, she serves as vocal coach for the winter musical, does dorm duty, and lives on campus. Hannah also grew up on campus with her family from 1993–2006, when her dad, Jim Ellington, led the theater program.
