Love, sacrifice, and hope served as the backdrop for EHS Theater’s production of “Hadestown” on Valentine’s Day weekend. Set during the industrial age, the musical brought a haunting retelling of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth to Fox Stage in Pendleton Hall, inviting the audience into a powerful exploration of the underworld. Utilizing a distinctive blend of folk, blues, and jazz to drive the narrative, the cast and crew told the story of the resilience of the human spirit through a soulful, modern lens that still allowed audience members to sing along during the performance.
