Biography:
Dee Dee arrives at Episcopal High School after six years at Culver Academics in Indiana, where she served as a Senior Instructor in the Department of Leadership Education. Prior to her time at Culver, Dee Dee worked in higher education at the University of Notre Dame as both an instructor in the College of First Year Studies and an assistant director for undergraduate career services, having begun her career on Capitol Hill and at a Washington, D.C. think tank. While she has served in diverse educational and advisory capacities throughout her career, it is her passion for student mentorship and leadership development that guides her work.
Dee Dee serves as an instructor at EHS, teaching advanced American Studies and a leadership theory elective. Drawing on her academic background — including a B.A. from Wake Forest University and an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Georgetown University — she strives to thoughtfully engage students in critical thinking and personal growth. Dee Dee, her husband, and their young son Declan will live on dorm in Berkeley, and she will serve alongside Lou as an advisor to upperclassmen.
