Biography:
A native of Northern Virginia, David has worked in numerous public, private and corporate collections, including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Chrysler Museum, Cedar Rapids Museum of Art and the Academy Art Museum. His work has been shown in various solo and group exhibitions, including exhibits with Chuck Close, Robert Mapplethorpe, Diane Arbus, Sally Mann, Lee Friedlander, and Hiroshi Sugimoto, among others. David’s latest exhibition will open at the American University Museum of Art at The Katzen Arts Center in Washington D.C in June 2025. A catalog of the exhibition features essays from John Rasmussen (director) Anke Van Wagenberg Phd, (curator) and daughter Scout Douglas ’06.
 
David is the co-chair of the Student Assistance Team, and leads the afternoon art option.. He lives on campus with his wife Ann, son Max, and dog Singer. He also has a daughter, Scout ’06, and a son, Gift ’06.
