Congratulations to our 2026-27 newly elected student leaders! From monitors and prefects to the Honor and Discipline Committees, these students are poised to make their marks on the School. Each candidate wrote statements of purpose, which were displayed outside Laird Dining Hall for review before an all-School election. Incoming Head Monitor Sawyer Locke ’27 wrote about his desire to build upon the sense of community he has felt throughout his time at Episcopal. “As a prefect on the freshman dorm, I’ve made it a priority to be friends with every guy. As captain of my teams, I’ve tried my hardest to lead by example,” he wrote. “I’m not just trying to be a leader; I want to show how deeply I care about this community. I love this place. And I’m going to do everything I can to make sure every single person here feels that same love and connection that I do.”
