College Counseling

The college counseling program at EHS is designed to help students explore their strengths and interests and, ultimately, gain admission to the colleges and universities that best suit their ambitions and aspirations.

Toward this end, Episcopal's experienced team of college counselors works closely with both students and parents in the college planning, selection, and application process.

Advocating for individual students and the School as a whole, the college counselors maintain contact with colleges and universities across the nation and visit many campuses throughout the year. Additionally, Admission officers from 70-80 colleges and universities across the country schedule individual visits to EHS each year to meet with interested prospective students and the college counselors. Meeting with these representatives is a good way to learn more about colleges and to allow the visiting admission officers to meet interested students.

EHS also welcomes more than 175 college representatives to our College Fair each October, providing students with an excellent opportunity to talk with admission offices and to learn more about various colleges.

All of these interactions help to sharpen students' understanding of the colleges, as well as enhance the colleges' familiarity with Episcopal High School and the distinguished strengths of EHS students and graduates.

The College Counseling Office is open and accessible to all EHS students and their parents. The office’s library offers extensive resources to assist students in the college research process. The college counselors are available for consultation throughout the year and encourage students to begin the exploration process early.

Parents are encouraged to meet with members of the college counseling staff when they come to campus and to telephone or email the staff with questions whenever they come up. College counselors also participate in Family Weekends and are available for individual meetings at that time.
