The Rev. Timothy J.S. Seamans
Departments and Positions: Assistant Chaplain Theology Teacher
Biography: Timothy comes to Episcopal after four years of chaplaincy at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta. He grew up in Michigan, taught high school English in Chicago, and received his theological education at Yale Divinity School, Chicago Theology Seminary, and the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. He was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Atlanta.
As Assistant Chaplain, Timothy teaches theology, assists in the chapel program, coordinates the service learning program, and coaches junior boys basketball. He is deeply committed to the intersection of spirituality, justice, and education. Along with school chaplaincy, Timothy is involved in the Episcopal Church’s wider ministry of racial healing and reconciliation. He currently serves on the Presiding Bishop’s Executive Council Committee on Anti-Racism.
Timothy lives in Hummel Dorm with his wife Marissa, a postdoc fellow at Johns Hopkins University, and their dog Walter.
