Joey Lockwood Halm

Biography: Joey came to EHS in 1996 and joined the teaching faculty in 1998. In 2007, Joey was awarded the Olsen Sabbatical to begin a Master’s of Science degree in counseling at Loyola University of Maryland. Joey then spent five years with the counseling department at Georgetown Visitation School. She returned to EHS in 2014 in the counseling department.
In addition to facilitating counseling programs for the Healthy Choices and Residential Life curriculums, Joey works with students to help them discover their personal goals, recognize those things that might hold them back, and learn ways of developing and nurturing their own identities.
When she is not in the office, Joey is typically at the ball park cheering on her son Mac. They share their home on campus with Abby '13, Ellie '16, and dogs Lucy and Ollie.
