Biography: Eleanor joined EHS after eight years teaching and coaching at Christ Church Episcopal School in South Carolina.
At Episcopal, Eleanor teaches French and serves as a 12th-grade class dean, an administrative duty officer, and an advisor to the “Whispers” staff. In addition to joining service learning trips to Haiti and India, she has enjoyed accompanying students on the EHS Summer Program in France during several summers and always appreciates the opportunity to participate in the exchange with Lycée Stanislas on both sides of the Atlantic.
Her interest in French started when she spent time in France as a student in high school and college. While studying in Paris through the Hollins Abroad Program, Eleanor attended literature courses at the Sorbonne. In her classes, Eleanor likes to incorporate her love of Francophone literature, cinema, art, and history, and she hopes to help share her enthusiasm for Francophone cultures with others.
Eleanor lives on campus with her husband Toby, their daughters Cecilia '20 and Olivia '22, and son Wyatt.
