Three Students Earn Alexandria Athlete of the Month Honors
In just the first two months of the fall season, three EHS students have been honored by the Alexandria Sportsman's Club.
Varsity volleyball co-captain Taylor Redd '18 and cross country standout Tre Simmons '20 were recently named Athletes of the Month for October by the Alexandria Sportsman's Club. Varsity field hockey captain and Wake Forest commit Eleanor Winants '18 was honored in September.
Taylor Redd, a co-captain, is averaging 10 assists and four aces per match so far this season. The varsity volleyball team is currently 11-6 (as of 10/18) and ranked #6 in the State.
Tre Simmons won the recent City Championships meet with a new personal best time and is ranked #2 in the IAC and in the top 10 in the state for his recent times.
Eleanor Winants, a captain, scored five goals in her first three games of the year, including a hat trick in their season opener. The varsity field hockey team is 8-5 on the season (as of 10/18) and has been consistently ranked in the Top 10 in the state.
