Senior Externships Make the News

Two recent senior externships from the Class of 2017 led to attention in the news...
One of the many signature experiences of an Episcopal High School graduate is the Washington Program Senior Externship, where all seniors spend the final month of their high school experience "out in the real world," serving as externs in an array of organizations and businesses, or going in-depth on independent research projects with faculty or expert supervision.

Recent 2017 graduates Robert Clark and Lachlan Warrell both received attention connected to their externship efforts, albeit in slightly different ways.

Robert Clark was featured in The Washington Post for his design work on a 5-acre golf practice facility designed to be built on The High School's grounds.

Lachlan Warrell wrote a guest blog at the conclusion of his externship with GirlUp. Titled "Why Boys Become Men When They're Feminists," the piece received a bevy of positive reactions -- retweets and likes -- from Twitter.
