JV Girls Tennis Defeats Huskies 6-1

The Maroon opened the season with a road trip to Oakton, Va., and brought home a 6-1 victory over a solid Huskie team.
The girls played with a lot of heart in their first test of the season and wore the opponents down.

Emma Johnson, #2 singles, won the first team point followed by Janie Reynolds winning the second point at #4 singles. Maxine Brannon/Kensette Lukes, playing #3 doubles, pulled us within 1 point of victory with their win. Grace Moog closed the match out with her win at #3 singles!

Also contributing team points with their wins were Kate Jones/Grace Baldwin at #2 doubles and Anna Morris playing the longest match of the day at #1 singles. Cooper Redd put some icing on the cake with an exciting win in the exhibition singles match.
