Athletes Celebrate the Winter Athletics Banquet

On March 22, winter athletics teams gathered to celebrate the annual Winter Athletics Banquet in Laird Dining Hall. Boys’ basketball captain Malik Stute ’23 gave the opening remarks, highlighting each team's accomplishments and touching on the competitive nature of each athlete. “The theme this season was to compete. We competed each week for every game and tournament, and our hard work shined throughout the season.”

Highlights from this winter season include:
  • Max Yang ’25 and Sophia Appiah ’25 were recognized as athletes of the month by the Alexandria Sportsman’s Club.
  • Boys’ climbing won the WAICL championship for the second year in a row.
  • The Maroon welcomed swimming for its first varsity season in School history, competing in the IAC and ISL league meets.
