Three Students Published in "Cli-Fi" Anthology

Nia Beane ’21, Sofi Igyan ’21, and Karen Zhang ’20 were recently honored by their peers with published work in Two Degrees Anthology: A Cli-Fi Short Story Collection, a student-run site designed to create change through storytelling. English teacher Molly Pugh first introduced cli-fi, short for climate-change fiction, as a class last spring and will continue teaching the elective next spring. From interplanetary travel to apocalyptic power outages and life-threatening droughts, Nia, Sofi, and Karen’s winning stories highlight potential harsh realities of climate change in a fantastical way.

Two Degrees was founded by students at The Lawrenceville School and Phillips Exeter Academy. They aim to lead discussions about climate change, spread awareness, and inspire readers to take action. Congratulations to Nia, Sofi, and Karen for their accomplishments.
