Six EHS Athletes Named All-Met

Four track standouts and two boys’ basketball players were named to the Washington Post’s All-Met teams this week.

Alli Boehm ’20 — honorable mention, indoor track and field
The Wake Forest commit was runner-up in the 1000-meter race at the VISAA state championships. She also qualified for the prestigious Eastern States Championships, where she ran on the 200-meter relay with Taylor Chambers ’23, Nina Moore ’20, and Regan Simmons ’21 to the seventh-fastest time in EHS history.

Tymu Chenery ’20 — honorable mention, basketball
Tymu this year eclipsed 1,000 points scored in his EHS career and helped lead the 18-7 Maroon to the finals of the IAC tournament and the semifinals of the state championship. He will play for Quinnipiac University next year.

Dante Jackson ’21 — first team, indoor track and field
Dante won the 400-meter race at the Eastern States Championships and two gold medals at the VISAA state championships as the lead runner in the 200-meter relay and the anchor of the 400-meter relay team.

Darius Johnson ’21 — second team, basketball
Though only a junior, Darius has already topped 1,000 points for his EHS career. He was also a first-team All-State VISAA selection for the Maroon, which was ranked in the Washington Post’s metro-area top 20 for nearly the entire season.

Aaron Lindsey ’21 — honorable mention, indoor track and field 
Aaron won three titles at the VISAA state meet, taking home first place in the 300-meter race and running with Episcopal champion relay teams in the 4x400-meter and 4x200-meter events.

Zedekiah Williams ’21 — honorable mention, indoor track and field
A middle-distance specialist, Zedekiah was part of Episcopal's state champion 4x400-meter relay team and placed second in the 500-meter event at the Washington-area invitational meet for independent schools.
