Boys' track team shines at championship meet

The boys and girls track and field squads competed in their respective league “B” Championships last week, with plenty of young talent showcasing their talents and hard work this season.
The boys traveled over to St Stephen’s & St Agnes on Tuesday May 7.   Joshua Williams ‘22 was the dominant performer of the meet, running away with the individual title in the 400-meters to kick off his eventful afternoon.      Williams joined with Nick Carosi ‘22, Stefan Olsen ‘21 and Stern Cohen ‘21 to race to a runner up finish in the 4 x 100m relay.   Williams also joined with Jay Kellam ‘21, Alpha Bah ‘22, Chineme Agulann ‘20 in the final event of the day to take 1st place in the 4 x 400m relay.

Alex Manoogian ‘22 was also a 1st place finisher in the Shot Put event, throwing  his personal best to represent The Maroon on the top step of the podium, followed closely by Conrad Suppes ‘20 who also traveled for their state game.  

It was a day of personal bests, as a group of student-athletes conquered the two lap test of truth.   Chineme Agulanna ‘20, Justin Yi ‘21, Manu Kadiyala ‘22 and Alpha Bah ‘22 all ran personal best times in the 800-meters
