Varsity girls' tennis continues undefeated streak

The Maroon proved to be too much for their Holy Child opponents, posting a clean sweep, 7-0.
Gracie Hughes '19 and Lilly Schmactenberger '19 as the #1 and #2 singles demolished their opponents. Hughes with her big serves and pounding forehand won 8-3. Schmactenberger put the pressure on with her big serves and controlled the points throughout the match winning 8-0. Nora Huffines '20 at #3 singles whipped her wrist around spinning the ball for a win against her opponent, 8-0. Catherine Clark '21 cruised through her #4 singles match easily defeating her Holy Child opponent 8-0. The EHS girls have been very competitive in all of their singles matches this season with many players being undefeated.

Lucy Peacock '21 and Eve Mazlish 21 stepped into the #1 doubles position due to rearrangement of the line-up caused by several players being unable to compete. They have been relentlessly effective this season picking up many wins together. The duo easily took the match to win 8-2. Belle Broll '21 and Cooper Redd '21 played at the #2 doubles spot to drill home a win 8-3. These two moved very nicely on the court together complimenting each other's strengths. Schuyler Moore '21 and Caroline Davis '21 showed great teamwork and determination, walking away with a strong win, 8-1. The doubles teams continued to be flexible as the line-up shifts throughout the season.
