Maroon falls to Bullis

The boys' varsity lacrosse team lost to #12 nationally ranked Bullis by a final score of 15-9.
The Maroon started off slow in the first half as Bullis dominated possession by winning 72 percent of the ground balls. Difficulty in the clearing game (6/12) also added to the discrepancy in possession time as the Maroon fell behind by a score of 8-2 at the half. The team played a much stronger second half as the ground ball battle was even. Those extra possessions allowed for opportunities on the offensive end of the field as Finlay MacKnight '20 (2g/2a), Jackson Eicher '20 (3g), and Jared Andreala '20 (2g) led the offense. Ben Lee '20 played outstanding man to man defense against one of the top attackmen in the country and Luke Mascatello '19 made 11 tough saves on the day. The Maroon fall to 10-4 overall (8-2 in VISAA play, 0-3 in the IAC) on the season. The team is currently ranked #4 in the VISAA poll.
