Maroon defeats Flint Hill in extra innings

Episcopal defeated Flint Hill in a hard-fought, 12-inning pitchers' duel as both teams combined to strike out 41 total batters.
Piers Luscombe ’22 scored the winning run in the bottom of the 12th inning on a throwing error. John Moses ’19 and Jacob Morgan ’19 combined to strike out 21 Huskies while allowing only five hits and giving up just one walk. The Husky pitchers were also outstanding, striking out 20 Maroon batters before a Husky took the hard-luck loss in the bottom of the 12th when first baseman David Rondeau ’20 led off with a single and pinch runner Luscombe stole second base and scored the winning run on an overthrow to third base.
