Maroon Defeats Bullis, Advances to Championship

The boys varsity basketball team played Bullis in the second round of the IAC tournament.
Episcopal and Bullis split the regular season series, and both teams entered the game playing well. Episcopal played some of its best basketball of the season in the first half. The team executed on offense, and played defense with toughness and intensity. Episcopal led Bullis 46-30 at the intermission. Bullis is a talented and well-coached team, so the Maroon knew they would make a strong run. The Bulldogs outscored the Maroon by nine points in the third period, and midway through the fourth quarter Bullis took a one-point lead. EHS refocused, and showed some great resiliency in the final few minutes of the game. The team made winning plays on both ends of the court, and the result was a 75-69 victory for the Maroon.
