Wrestling Opens Season With Tri-Meet

The varsity wrestling team opened their dual meet season with a tri-meet against VHSL schools Lee High School (Springfield) and Justice High School.
The dual meet against Justice was closely contested, as each team won six of the bouts actually wrestled. The Maroon pinned in all six of their wins as Justice earned four pins and two decisions. The difference ended up being two weight classes forfeited by the Maroon as Justice prevailed 42 - 36. Nevertheless, it was one of the strongest dual performances by the Maroon over the past three seasons. In the dual meet against Lee HS, the Maroon left little doubt as they won 60-18, with three Maroon wrestlers earning falls.
