Boys JV Squash Slams St. Andrew's

The boys JV squash team opened up its 2018 campaign with an impressive win over the Saints of St. Andrew’s in Delaware.
Despite the relative inexperience of this year’s squad, they emerged victorious, taking 8 of the 9 official matches, and 10 of the 12 played in all. Fisher Bredrup ‘21, Henry McCall ‘20, John McKee ‘20, Red Staunton ‘22, Leo Kong ‘21, Zander Byers ‘21, Peter Hood ‘22, and Tripp Greenwood ‘22 all tallied their first wins, while Charles Starks ‘21 and Andrew Shea ‘20, playing #1 and #2 respectively, added to their total, dispatching their St. Andrew’s opponents in three straight games. The hardest-fought matches of the day came in the middle of the ladder, as McKee and Staunton both needed five games before gutting out tough wins. Despite our dominance on the day, the team looks forward to improving throughout the season.
