Girls JV lacrosse had the premier Friday afternoon event for family weekend: a 4:30 league game in the bowl.
The players exceeded expectations, playing well and providing a great game for the captive crowd. Episcopal jumped out to a quick lead against Bullis, but they weren't able to maintain the lead for long, as Bullis quickly began to answer back. After trading back-and-forth goals, the score was tied at the end of the game, and Athletic Director Jen Fitzpatrick—along with both teams' coaches—agreed to a golden goal three-minute overtime.
Bullis came up with the draw control and sprinted for cage, netting a goal in under 10 seconds. Liv Hunt '21 was player of the game, with several key saves in the last few minutes of the game, and both Janil Cohen '21 and Missy Brandt '20 added hat tricks. Ultimately, Bullis went home with the 9-8 victory, but the coaches were proud of the team's good work.
