Departments and Positions:
• Assistant Director of Counseling
Biography:
Joey came to EHS in 1996 and joined the teaching faculty in 1998. Joey birthed and headed the instrumental music program, teaching multiple sections of orchestra and music theory. In 2007, Joey was awarded the Olsen Sabbatical to begin a Master’s of Science degree in professional  mental health counseling at Loyola University of Maryland. Joey then spent five years with the counseling department at Georgetown Visitation School. She returned to EHS in 2014 in the counseling department.

In addition to helping to facilitate counseling programs for the Healthy Choices and Residential Life curriculums, Joey works with students to help them discover their personal goals, recognize those things that might hold them back, and learn ways of developing and nurturing their own identities.

In her free time, Joey enjoys gardening, fishing, making music with EHS students and faculty, and traveling to watch son Mac (‘25) play baseball. She hopes to make trips to Salt Lake City now that her daughter Abby (‘13) is engaged in her residency program.
