Biography:
An American literature specialist with an interest in detective fiction, Tim has taught courses in these disciplines at Episcopal for many years. Prior to coming to EHS, he taught in Japan, Atlanta, and his hometown of Roanoke, Va. He has taught younger children through the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth program in the summer, and has also served as a reading consultant for the College Board AP Exam in Language and Composition.

At Episcopal, Tim serves on the Administrative Duty Team and coaches Maroon & Black soccer and cross training. He and his wife, EHS Spanish teacher Rocío Mendizábal, have six children, including Alex ’04, Teo ’12, and Louie ’15.
