Ashley Taylor

Biography:
At Episcopal, Ashley serves as the dean of students.  In addition to her administrative role, she teaches an epidemiology elective in the science department, advises upperclassmen, works with the senior monitors, and serves as an ADO.

Before becoming the dean of students in 2015, Ashley taught biology and advanced environmental science, coached field hockey, basketball and lacrosse, and lived on Dalrymple Dormitory where she served as dorm head. Ashley served as the head coach of the girls’ varsity lacrosse team for 11 years.  Before joining the Episcopal faculty in 2010, Ashley worked at St. Mark’s School in Massachusetts and the Pingry School in New Jersey.

Ashley is a graduate of Brown University, where she played on the women’s Division 1 lacrosse team and earned a bachelor’s in human biology, with a focus on the brain and behavior. Ashley completed her Masters Degree in biology at the Harvard University Extension School and also studied at the Klingenstein Summer Institute through Columbia University.  Ashley is a graduate of the National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C. and was a high school All-American in girls’ lacrosse.

Ashley lives on campus with her husband John, their two children, Sophie and Will, and their dog, Lacy.
