Biography:
Before joining the EHS faculty in 2019, Joe served on active duty for 27 years in the U.S. Navy as both a line officer and a member of the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, retiring as a Navy captain. His naval service included sea duty on an aircraft carrier, as well as assignments around the world and at the Pentagon. Throughout his military career, Joe’s favorite part of every tour of duty was teaching, mentoring, and leading young junior officers and enlisted sailors.

At EHS, Joe teaches History, Civics, Introduction to U.S. Constitutional Law, and Advanced U.S. Government. He serves as Faculty Advisor to the Honor Committee, and as a Senior Class dean. He also serves on the Hummel Dorm Team and coaches cross-training.
