Alumni Volunteer Opportunities

CLASS CHAIR

Class Chairs lead the Roll Call fundraising effort for their class through the direct solicitation and stewardship of classmates. Chairs help draft and/or edit appeal letters and emails, participate in phonathons, and make an early Roll Call commitment at a level of personal leadership.

CLASS CORRESPONDENT

Class Correspondents keep classmates connected to EHS and to one another by collecting class notes for the semi-annual school magazine and notifying the Advancement Office of any changes to alumni contact information.

REUNION COMMITTEE

Members of the Reunion Planning Committee drum up enthusiasm and attendance for Reunion Weekend. Working alongside the Advancement Office, the committee also helps coordinate class-specific events for the weekend and manages solicitation of alumni support of the Roll Call in honor of Reunion year.

ADMISSIONS AREA REPRESENTATIVE

Admissions Area Representatives work alongside our Admissions Office to help identify talented students in their area, call prospective families, host admissions events, and attend local school fairs.

WASHINGTON PROGRAM BROWN BAG LUNCHES

As part of the Washington Program, members of the extended EHS community are invited to meet with a group of students and faculty during an informal session on campus where lunch is served. These alumni and friends of the School host a discussion of what they do and their journey from EHS to where they are today.

EXPERT CALLS

As part of the Washington Program, seniors at EHS are required to schedule an informational phone interview with an EHS alumnus or parent who is experienced in the student's field of interest. These calls serve as an opportunity for our students to practice networking skills, learn about an industry, and connect with the broader EHS community. We are always looking for alumni and parent volunteers to make themselves available for these calls should a senior's interest match their experience.

HOST A WASHINGTON PROGRAM STUDENT EXTERN

If you or your company is willing to host an EHS senior for an off-campus work experience during the month of May, usually for about 35 hours per week, please contact Jeremy Goldstein, director of the Washington Program, at jlg@episcopalhighschool.org.
