Before joining the EHS faculty, Jessie worked at the Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy in Washington, D.C. While at Chavez, she taught world history for four years at the Capitol Hill campus and then served as the social studies curriculum specialist for the entire network of schools.

Jessie is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she pursued a degree in history and English and joined The Corp, the largest entirely studentrun 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in the world. After graduating from college, Jessie joined Teach for America and taught in the Hartford, Conn., public schools for two years.

A native of North Andover, Mass., Jessie attended Phillips Exeter Academy, where she rowed crew and won the Blackmar Prize for Best Work in American History. She has lived in D.C.’s Dupont Circle with her cat Darcy since 2011.

At Episcopal, Jessie teaches world history for ninth and tenth grades. She is also a member of the Evans Dorm team and is an assistant coach for girls’ JV soccer and crew.
