A 1997 graduate, Lucy returned to EHS in 2014 where she teaches English and serves as dean of residential life and advising. Following her graduation from the University of Virginia, Lucy began her teaching career at independent schools in Winston-Salem, N.C., and Middleburg, Va., before heading north to teach at St. George’s School on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Newport, R.I. In her nine years there, Lucy taught English, served as a dorm head, worked as a class dean, and served most recently as dean of faculty, while also coaching and advising students. Lucy holds an M.A. in English from Middlebury College and a M.Ed. in school leadership from Columbia University’s Klingenstein Center.

Lucy lives on campus with her husband and fellow Episcopal faculty member Jeremy, their daugh­ter Jane, and their energetic spaniel Callie. In her free time, Lucy loves to read, cook, explore the D.C. area with friends and family, and spend as much time as possible on the northern neck of Virginia.
