Departments and Positions: English Teacher
After nearly twenty years at New England boarding schools where he served as a English Department Head and AP Literature teacher, Mitch joined the EHS faculty in 2016. His passion for all things literary and interest in experiential education define his classroom.
Mitch teaches 9th grade and advanced senior courses – the “bookends” of the English curriculum. His literary interests range from ancient to modern and span cultural traditions across the globe. Such passions have led him on literary excursions to Ireland, France, Spain, Japan, Vietnam, and many other destinations. In addition to traveling,
Mitch spends his summers teaching at the Great Books Summer Program at Amherst College. Outside the classroom, Mitch coaches squash, serves as faculty advisor for the EHS literary publication “The Daemon,” and is a member of the evening study hall team.
