Scott joined Episcopal’s science faculty after teach­ing physics and chemistry in the International Baccalaureate Program at Rampart High School in Colorado for five years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University and his master’s degree in teaching sec­ondary science from Colorado College.

Scott teaches physics and engineering which utilizes the state-of-art fabrication laboratory with 3D printers and laser cutters. He serves the school by planning and encouraging professional development to enhance teaching and learning and as a coach for the climbing team. He also serves on the VAIS Professional Development Advisory Commission and is a representative of the School with the Mastery Transcript Consortium. 

Scott has extensive experience in outdoor adventuring, having been a guide and instructor with Noah’s Ark Whitewater Rafting Company and Adventure Program from 1999 to 2004.

Scott also serves on the Berkeley Dorm team. He and his wife Hartley live on Berkeley Dorm with their children, Elizabeth, Mary Blue, and Henry, and their dog Carson.
