Girls JV LAX Crushes Holton-Arms
On Thursday, The Maroon hit the road for a league matchup against Holton Arms. Their tough practices leading up to the game prepared them for the win.
Leading the day in the midfield was Missy Brandt '20 who grabbed three draw controls and three ground balls; she also added a goal. On the attacking end, Janil Cohen '21 led the crew with a hat trick, and McClain Brooks '21 also had three points. Defensively, Sunny Miller '20 did an awesome job of seeing the slides and forcing her girl away from cage; she also got the ball out of the defensive end very well. In the cage, goalie Liv Hunt had a great day, earning five saves and completing several good clears to her teammates.
Captain Catie Medick '19 added another goal, as did teammates Addie George '21, Elyse Farrell '20, and Jackie Lukes '21. In the end, the Maroon snagged their first win of the season, walking proudly away with the 11-7 victory.
