Travel and Testing Protocols for Domestic Students

We encourage students and their families to seek health and security guidance from several different sources before traveling, including travel advisories from the Department of State and CDC websites.

All students should be masked during travel on public transportation regardless of vaccine status.

List of 3 items.

  • Pre-arrival Testing

All students, vaccinated or not, must submit proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR nasal swab, taken no sooner than 72 hours prior to their arrival on campus. Note: antigen and/or antibody tests cannot be accepted. Submissions must be uploaded prior to arrival through Magnus Health on the Parent Portal. Please plan your testing based on your arrival date per below:

    • August 23 arrivals: PCR test obtained on August 20, 21, or 22; results submitted by August 23.
    • August 29 arrivals: PCR test obtained on August 26, 27, or 28; results submitted by August 29.
    • September 3 & 4 arrivals: PCR test obtained on August 31, September 1, 2, or 3; results submitted by September 4.
International students with approved return on alternate dates must plan testing to coincide with these guidelines.

All faculty and staff have completed pre-arrival testing.
  • Post-arrival Testing

    • All students will be tested three days after their return to campus.
    • Unvaccinated and international students also will be tested seven days post-return.

    Communication about Covid-19 Testing Results
We will share the results of the 3-day post-arrival testing once all students have returned to campus; however, with no recurring all-School testing taking place, we have discontinued the weekly results dashboard used last year.
  • Surveillance Testing

    • Unvaccinated students will be tested weekly for Covid-19.
    • Some surveillance testing may also occur for vaccinated students.
