Mike Miller - EHS faculty member
Mike Miller after teaching at EHS for 50 years feels like he has been forgiven for graduating from Woodberry Forest in 1965.  Mike went from Woodberry to Princeton where Flick Hoxton hired him to teach history at EHS in the fall of 1969. Mike got his Masters degree from Georgetown in 1973 and his Ph.D. in Soviet History from George Washington University in 1982 while working at EHS.  When the Soviet Union collapsed so did interest in Soviet History and Mike reinvented himself as an economics teacher while working with the College Board to help develop the first Advanced Placement exams in Micro- and Macroeconomics. Mike also filled several administrative positions at EHS under the leadership of Sandy Ainslie, including Assistant Head for Academics, but went back to his real love classroom teaching in 1998.  He is currently teaching a course on the Cold War, two economics courses and an online course for Global Online Academy.
