DC Regional Campaign Launches at Spirit Dinner

November 13, 2009

With great excitement, the Washington, D.C., Regional Campaign was launched at the Spirit of The High School Dinner on November 13, 2009.

At no time in the School’s history has the EHS had such a presence in the greater Washington, D.C., area, and Episcopal is proud to introduce the first Regional under The EHS Promise Campaign to the School’s most populated base of loyal alumni, families, and friends.

The Washington, D.C., Regional launches under the guidance and leadership of Co-Chairs, Caulley Deringer '82 and Attison Barnes '82. Both Caulley and Attison arrived at EHS from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, thrived on campus while students, and have remained connected to the School in a variety of roles preceeding their Co-Chairmanship. Both chairs are Alexandria-based, and Attison has two children attending Episcopal: Attison '11 and Catherine '13. Caulley and Attison have been of considerable service during the silent phase of the campaign, and look forward to success in the months ahead.

Whether an alumnus who eagerly anticipates the new Athletics facility for their children or a past parent who strongly believes in and supports the Middle Income Initiative, the area's response to the Campaign to date has been strong. A group of over 20 alumni, current parents, and past parents, have already committed to serve the School on the Washington, D.C., Regional Campaign Committee. Each member of this committee is dedicated not only to the School, but to the direction in which The EHS Promise will take it. The momentum will provide an excellent platform for continued connections and re-connections among local alumni and families during this monumental time at EHS.

Those interested in serving on the Washington, D.C., Regional Committee, should contact the EHS Development Office at 1-877-EHS-1839.
