The Big Apple Welcomes The Promise Campaign
April 26, 2010
On April 21, an enthusiastic group of more than 70 Episcopal High School alumni, parents, and friends gathered in the home of Josie and Julian Robertson '51 for a reception and launch of the New York Regional Campaign. Headmaster Rob Hershey spoke to the crowd, thanking Julian for hosting an annual event for New York "almost as long as EHS New Yorkers can remember." Hershey also thanked Winston Holt '82, the chair of the New York campaign committee. The entire room enjoyed an update on the EHS Promise Campaign priorities and the importance of the New York region in the School's efforts.
Immediately prior to the alumni and parent gathering, the New York Campaign Committee met in Chair's Winston Holt's offices, just down the street. The New York Committee is a loyal and large group that includes alumni as well as current and past parents. After a very successful meeting, the committee walked to the reception. Episcopal High School is deeply grateful to hosts Winston Holt and Lee Ainslie '82.
If you would like to serve on the New York Committee or have questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Development Office at 877-EHS-1839.
The following night, April 22, more than 50 EHS alumni from class years of 2006 through 1996 met at The Volstead in midtown Manhattan to enjoyed old friends and high spirits. The first "young alumni gathering" extended well into the night, with many alumni networking and catching up.
