Blair Dewing '13

Biography:
A member of the EHS Class of 2013, Blair returned in 2021 to teach chemistry and coach JV field hockey.

Blair earned her B.A. in Biology with a minor in French. Her undergraduate research focused on the habitat ranges of endemic salamander species in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Blair continued on to work with environmental nonprofits in Idaho and New Jersey, where she educated and engaged local communities on STEM topics relevant to unique conservation issues. She then taught in the Académie de Bordeaux and D.C. Public Schools before pursuing her M.Ed full-time in Virginia.

Most recently, Blair was a guest teacher at The Langley School in McLean, Va., teaching 7th grade science with an emphasis on conceptual physics and the importance of experiential learning.
