Lindsey deButts '08
Lacrosse -- Princeton Unversity
2009: Named to the womenslacrosse.com All-Rookie team ... started in all 18 games ... picked up 22 ground balls, 24 draw controls and 16 caused turnovers ... had a season-best four ground balls against Cornell on March 28 ... won four draw controls, a season best, against Georgetown in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on May 10 ... caused a season-high three turnovers against Harvard on April 11 ... defense ranked fifth in the country with an 8.67 goals against average.

Peter Diffley '08
Basketball -- Caldwell College
2008-09: Diffley played in all 28 games for Caldwell, contributing to their 12-16 season in which they went 8-8 in conference play.  As a freshman, he contributed an average of close to 2 minutes per game with 3.4 rebounds and 5.5 points per game.  The Cougars of Caldwell lost in the first round of the CACC tournament.

Zach Glubiak '08
Soccer -- Columbia University
2008: Played in three contests for the Lions, including start against Lafayette College.  Recorded two saves against the Leopards and had one against Harvard.   Played in a total of 3 games, registering 6 saves in 147 minute of action for the 4-12-1 Columbia Lions.

Spencer Graves '08
Lacrosse -- Sewanee
2009: Graves saw plenty of action in his freshman season for Sewanee, playing in 8 games total 7 of them in goal.   Graves put 305 minutes between the pipes registering a 52.2 save percentage and 1-1 record for the 4-10 Tigers.

Matt Hurley '08
Lacrosse -- U.S. Military Academy
2009: Hurley played in all 16 games for the Army squad, which ended the season 6-10.  He went 10-23 on face-offs and collected 1 assist.

Graham Jones '08
Football -- Sewanee
2008: Jones played in 7 games for the 2-8 Tigers recording 10 tackles, all listed as ‘solo’ tackled for the Freshman Defensive Back.  

Johnny Motley '08
Wrestling -- Harvard University
2008-09: Competed at 133 (1-5 on the season) and 141 pounds (1-6 on the season) during rookie season ... Went 2-11 on the season with wins by major decision and fall.   The Crimson Tide were ranked #25 going into the 2008-09 campaign.

Scott West '08
Squash -- George Washington University
Scott West saw plenty of action as a freshman for the #23 Nationally ranked Colonials.   West consistently played in the #9 and #10 position and registered a 10-5 record for the 17-10 program.

Danny Coale ’07
Football – Virginia Tech University
Started every game in 2008 as a redshirt freshman … His 36 catches were a record for a freshman at Virginia Tech … Opened the season at split end and then moved to flanker after the fifth game of the year …
2008: Led the team with 36 receptions … Was second in receiving yards at 408 … Started the opener against East Carolina, catching two passes for 15 yards … Caught two more passes for 15 yards against Georgia Tech … Led the team with four catches for 54 yards in the win at UNC … Registered a pair of receptions for 14 yards against Nebraska … Had a 28-yard catch against WKU and finished with two receptions for 34 yards … Led the way with four catches for 28 yards in the Boston College game … Picked up two catches for 22 yards against FSU … Posted three catches for 38 yards against Maryland … Caught four passes for 59 yards in the Miami game … Added two more catches for 7 yards against Duke … Hauled in a season-best five receptions for 66 yards in the Virginia game … Had a catch for a 4-yard gain against BC in the ACC title game … Pulled in three passes for 52 yards in the Orange Bowl win over Cincinnati … His 420-pound front squat was tops among receivers during off-season workouts … Earned Iron Hokies honors … Caught a 62-yard TD pass from Tyrod Taylor in the Hokies’ first full scrimmage of the 2009 spring.
2007: Got most of his work at split end while redshirting in the fall … Turned in a 35 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 4.42 time in the 40 on the way to Iron Hokie honors during the winter … Blocked a punt in one of the spring scrimmages … Caught two passes in each of the three scrimmages … Also added two receptions during the Maroon-White game for 18 yards.

Katharine Farrar ’07
Lacrosse – Washington & Lee University
2008: Farar saw action in six games as a freshman earning a 2.85 goals-against average and save percentage of 53.8 percent.
2009: As a sophomore, Farrar started 15 of the 17games she played for the 13-5.  The generals lost in the Championship game of the ODAC conference ending the season ranked #20 in Division III.   Farrar registered a 8.44 goals against average as the #1 choice for to guard the goal for the generals that went 7-1 in conference action.

Cassie Findlay ’07
Lacrosse – Hobart and Smith Colleges
2008: Findlay saw action in 17 games, starting for the Heron in six games registering 13 goals and four assists in her inaugural intercollegiate season.
2009: As an experienced sophomore, Findlay started in all 15 games for the Herons scoring 16 goals and 5 assists including a hat-trick in 3 consecutive games for the 11-4 team that lost a stunner in the Liberty League Semi-Finals. She was one of six team members to be named to the Liberty League All-Academic team.

Victoria Friedman '07
Lacrosse -- Sewanee
2009: Friedman had a solid sophomore season for the Tigers playing in 13 games and starting in 10 of those games.  She tallied 9 goals and 11 assists for the 8-5 squad.

Franny Kupersmith ’07
Sailing – St. Mary’s College of Maryland
2009: Sophomore Kupersmith was an integral part of the #2 Sailing program in the country this year.  As a sophomore Franny was a crew member of the team that placed 2nd at the ISCA Team Nationals and also 2nd and the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Intersectional competition.

Jeb Leva ’07
Lacrosse – Sewanee  
Leva saw action in five games for Sewanee in 2007-08. In his sophomore season, Leva played in 11 games, starting 6 for the 4-10 Tigers tallying 15 ground balls and 2 turnovers.

Kyle Lewis ’07
Football, Track & Field – Trinity University (Texas)
2008: Lewis had 31 all-purpose yards for the Trinity football squad and competed in track and field as well.
2009: Lewis had 42 all-purpose yards at Running Back for the 2008 season where the Trinity Tigers went 8-2 on the season.

Teddy Peterson ’07
Lacrosse - Sewanee
Peterson played in 10 games for the Tigers and started at 2 contests.  In his sophomore season, he recorded 3 goals and 4 assists.  

Sebastian Sabella ’07
Basketball – Lycoming College
2007-08: Appeared in 11 games ... scored 18 points ... recorded 11 rebounds.
2008-09:  Sabella appeared in all 24 games for the 11-13 Lycoming College squad averaging 6 points per game.  Sabella ranked in the Top 4 in team statistics in scoring, rebounds, points, scoring average, field goal attempts and made, 3pt. field goals made and free throw percentage (82 percent).

Ansley Stewart ’07
Lacrosse – University of Notre Dame
Ansley started every game in the 2009 season and scored 30 goals. Her team was the Big East Champion and finished No. 6 in the country. Ansley was awarded the Most Improved Player for the Irish, having tallied 42 points as sophomore and starting all 21 games.

Mikhail Turner ’07
Soccer – Eckerd College
2007: Turner saw action in 17 games for the Tritons, taking a spot on the starting lineup on two occassions. Turner notched one goal for the team that started off the season 5-0 and ended with a respectable 12-8 record on the season, losing out in the Conference Semi-finals.
2008: As a sophomore, Turner played in 14 games for the 11-8 Tritons, recording 1 goal and 1 assist for a team that lost to the top ranked teamin the Conference Semi-finals.

Harper Cullen '06
Lacrosse -- Trinity College (Conn.)
2008: Voted Chester H. McPhee Team MVP recipient...led the team in goals, overall points, shots, and game-winning goals (8th in NESCAC)...2nd on team in assists in 2008...scored four man-up goals...
2009: Voted team MVP for the 2009 team as a Junior and voted to the ALL-NESCAC 1st team...led Trinity in goals and overall scoring with a College-record 48 goals (2nd in NESCAC, 8th in nation), including five man-up tallies and three game-winners, and six assists for 54 points (8th in NESCAC)...played in all 16 games (15 starts), but did not start and was not a factor in the post-season loss at Bowdoin due to an injury suffered in the regular-season finale two days earlier.

Teddy Grover '06
Soccer -- Washington and Lee (Soccer).
2007: Lettered as a sophomore ... saw action in seven games during the 2007 season as a Sophomore, starting three contests ... member of the W&L defense that posted a 0.53 GAA and allowed just 10 goals ... practiced with the team as a first-year, but didn't see any action .
2008: Grover increased his input as a junior, playing in 16 games for the Washington & Lee squad, which went 9-6-2 on the season.   Grover started in 8 games as a solid defender for the Generals.

Willie Harris '06
Track -- University of Pennsylvania.
2008-09: As a junior, Harris recorded some of the Quakers' top times in the 55-Hurdles, and 200-meter and 300-meter events.  Harris qualified for the Indoor IC4A Championships in the 60-meter hurdle event and placed 7th at Heptagonal Championships in the same event.  Harris also placed 5th in the 110-Hurdle event Outdoors and was a valuable member of some of the Quaker’s top relay teams.

Zach Hoisington '06
Lacrosse -- Colorado College
2008: Played in nine games for the Tigers as a freshman
2009: Played in 14 games contributing with 1 assist and 14 Turnovers and 23 controls as a hard-nosed defensemen.

Peyton Killeen '06
Lacrosse -- Boston College
Killeen played in 11 games in 2007-08 season, scoring three goals for the Eagles, and notching a goal in the ACC quarterfinals against Virginia. She registered three ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers for the season.
In 2009, Killeen increased her production for the Eagles playing in 14 games for the 9-9 Big East team.  Killeen recorded 1 goal, 2 ground balls and caused 5 turnovers from the midfield position.

Gift Maworere '06
Soccer -- West Virginia University 
Maworere started out on a high note in his very first game as a true freshman for the Mountaineers, playing the full game in their Big East opener and victory against Cincinnati (2-0) and was named "man of the match." Maworere then started all of the remaining matches for the perennial Top-25 ranked team. As a sophomore, the playmaking midfielder established himself as one of the best midfield players in the Big East and was vital to the season, which saw the Mountaineers reach the Sweet 16.
2008: Maworere continued his success at WVU and as a junior was named all-BIG EAST honorable mention for the second-straight season … played in 18 of the team’s 19 games, earning the starting nod in each one … began the season as a midfielder and was converted to defense, where he excelled… played a major factor in the team’s strong defense throughout the season … part of a back line that allowed only 13 goals … selected to the league weekly honor roll on Sept. 22 … helped WVU earn an upset 1-0 shutout victory over No. 22-ranked Ohio State.

Sarah Vance '06
Lacrosse -- Princeton University
2007: Played in four games ... saw action against Rutgers on March 7, Harvard on April 14, Columbia on April 27 and Brown on April 28.
2008: Saw action in three games ... played against Rutgers on March 4, Columbia on April 2 and Brown on April 26 ... recorded her first ground ball against Brown.
2009: Played in 14 games and made four starts ... made her first collegiate start against Dartmouth on April 18 ... had seven ground balls and seven caused turnovers ... collected two caused turnovers versus Temple on March 25 ... had two ground balls against Harvard on April 11 ... had two ground balls and two caused turnovers versus Dartmouth.

Thomas Gottwald '05
Rifle Team -- Virginia Military Institute 
Gottwald was a part of VMI rifle history as a member of the first team ending with a regular season record of 11-4 in smallbore and an 8-5 record in air rifle. He was a member of the championship team that took the ROTC division title contributing 488 of the 2098 team points.

Tim Hoisington '05
Lacrosse -- Connecticut College
2009: Hoisington completed his senior season for Colorado College playing in 12 games or the 6-9 season.

Whitt Larkin '05
Soccer -- Washington & Lee University
2008: In his senior season, Larkin played in all 17 games, starting 16 of them and leading the Generals in points, goals, assists, shots and shots on goal.   Larkin led his team to a 9-6-2 record, eventually losing in the quarterfinals of the DIII ODAC Conference Championship tournament.

Jamie McCardell '05
Tennis --  Washington & Lee University
2007: McCardell lettered in his freshman year with a 5-5 match record in singles and 0-3 record in doubles competition. The Generals ended the season with a 13-9 record and #23 Division III national ranking.
2008: Posted a 20-8 singles record in a variety of singles spots ranging from 2 to 5. 
2009: As a junior, McCardell was 7-18, 6-11 in dual match format and 4-1 in Conference action.  McCardell played at #1 or #2 for the season and helped guide his team to a 15-6 overall record and 9-0 record against league opponents to solidify their #25 National ranking in the DIII polls.

Chris Mixon '05 
Wrestling -- Wesleyan University (Conn.).
2007-08: As a junior, Mixon posted a 1-2 in the 174-lb weight class and 1-4 tournament record for a 2-6 season record.
2008-09: Mixon posted a 3-10 record at 197-lb helping Wesleyen to a 9-6-1 record for the season.

Arinze Onuaku '05
Basketball -- Syracuse University.
2006-07: Onuaku averaged a rebound every 2.9 minutes and played in 13 of 16 Big East Conference regular season games. He was named to the Big East Conference Academic All-Stars and earned Athletic Director Honor Roll in each of his first two semesters. Arinze was ranked 4th on the SU "dunk board" with 5 dunks in 25 games.
2007-08: In his sophomore year, Onuaku had a left knee surgery and was awarded a medical redshirt. For the second straight year, he was named to the BIG EAST Conference Academic All-Stars. He also earned a spot on the SU Athletic Directors’ Honor Roll following the fall and spring semesters.
2008-09: Had his second double-double in a row with 19 points and 12 rebounds against Kansas…He matched a career-high in blocks four times with four against Kansas, Cleveland State, Notre Dame, and Georgetown…Matched his season-high of 19 points twice, first against Rutgers, then again against Notre Dame…He reached a season’s best with 13 rebounds against Georgetown…Was a perfect 7-of-7 from the field against Long Beach State and a member of the team that went 28-10 with an captivating run to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Robbie Varipapa '05
Cross Country/ Track -- Washington & Lee University 
2009: Varipapa completed his final season for Washington & Lee, competing in the 400m and 500m events indoors and outdoors.

The Episcopal experience prepares you for college in a way that is balanced academically, athletically, spiritually, and socially. It is really a college experience at a high school level.
