Why did you decide to attend a boarding school?
I decided to attend boarding school because I knew the quality of education I would receive from a boarding school would never compare to that of a public school. The boarding aspect of school pushed for independence, something that I admire and always wanted.
Why did you choose to attend EHS?
I choose to attend EHS because of the sense of community that Episcopal had which to me differed from every other school in the world. During my revisit day, I just felt loved by everyone, and I wasn't even a student at the School. I knew Episcopal was my home from the beginning.
How has EHS impacted your life?
EHS has impacted my life in many ways I didn’t expect, but the biggest one has been the influence of my teachers. They always push for me to succeed, not just in one but all aspects of my life. They influence me to be a well-rounded student, who can do more than just write papers or complete arithmetic problems, but to be a leader and someone who doesn't give up easily.
How has your decision to attend boarding school affected your relationship with your mom?
My decision to attend boarding school has strengthened the relationship I have with my mom. She knows that I'm a lot more independent now and that I know how to make decisions and separate the good from the bad. She is proud of me, and she knows that none of this would have been possible without her support.
What is your favorite part of EHS daily life?
My favorite part of EHS daily life are seated meals; it’s a way to bring all 435 students together with the faculty and just eat like one big family. It brightens my day to see everyone smiling and having a good time chowing down together.
What have you learned about yourself by being a part of the EHS community?
Something I’ve learned being a part of the EHS community is that there is always room for improvement, whether it be within yourself or helping out someone in need, or someone who is struggling or needing some guidance.
