“Teaching and coaching young people has many rewards in the present and in the future. Regularly renewing friendships with successful EHS graduates ranks right up there with seeing the light go on in the classroom and the touchdown being scored,” says Bobby Watts, a veteran member of the faculty.Bobby graduated from Virginia Episcopal School and Virginia Military Institute. After serving in Vietnam, he spent four years at VES as a history teacher, coach, and director of admissions. He then had a career in business for 12 years, but he never strayed from education, as he continued to serve VES as a volunteer and trustee. At EHS, Bobby teaches social studies and coaches JV football and varsity track. He serves on the Hummel Dorm team and lives on campus with his wife, Elizabeth. They have two children, Rob ’98 and Betsy ’00. |
