Patrick W. Thompson Mathematics B.A. Davidson College

Patrick graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina with a degree in economics. He believes that “it is important to show children that it is all right to be intellectual and accepting in our current social climate,” and he encourages students to open their minds, try new things, and think about what it would be like to be in someone else’s shoes. Patrick teaches precalculus and calculus and coaches kayaking and rock climbing with the afternoon outdoor program. Patrick, his wife, Mindy, and their son, Bruce, live on Dalrymple Dormitory, where he serves on the dorm team. Mindy also serves on the Anderson Dorm Team.
