Melanie earned her undergraduate degree in Latin and Greek from Colgate University and her graduate degree in classical archaeology from the University of Pennsylvania. She then worked as the coordinator of volunteer guides and as a registrar’s assistant at the University of Pennsylvania’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, learning collections management techniques and museum operations. She later took on teaching, administrative, and special event management duties at the University Art Museum at the University of Minnesota.She has been teaching at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Va., intermittently since 1989, and will now teach part time both there and at Episcopal. Melanie also assists with the EHS Latin Club. She lives on campus with her husband, Jeff, and their sons Eric ’09, Sam, and Jack. |
