Frank P. Phillips

Frank earned a bachelor’s degree with high honors in studio art and English and was awarded the Arthur Dove Art Prize at Hobart College. Additionally, he graduated with a minor in art history. Frank was also a four-year starter for the men’s varsity soccer team and a resident advisor.

Before joining the faculty at Episcopal, Frank taught design, drawing, and printmaking at Landon School in Bethesda, Md. At Landon, he also coached soccer, track, and indoor rock climbing.

Frank recently completed a master’s degree in fine arts, with a concentration in painting, at the Maryland Institute College of Art. At Episcopal, he is co-director of the Angie Newman Johnson Gallery in the Ainslie Arts Center. In addition, Frank is head coach of boys’ varsity squash, assistant coach of boys’ varsity soccer, is a student advisor, and lives on Berkeley Dorm.
