B.A. University of Virginia

Brad earned both his bachelor’s degree in English and his master’s degree in teaching, with a focus on English, from the University of Virginia. He began his teaching career at the Leysin American School in Switzerland, where he was head of the English Department, dormitory head, soccer coach, and a member of the Honor Council. After three years at Leysin he returned to the United States to teach freshman English in Hanover County, Va.

He then left the classroom to work with corporate clients at an organization called Play, a creative consultancy. There he motivated and inspired clients to utilize a creative approach to problem solving. Brad then worked with Royall and Company, a firm that specializes in working with college and university admission directors and vice-presidents to develop their brands and implement strategies to accomplish enrollment goals. He is pleased to return to an educational community at EHS.

In addition to teaching English, Brad is head coach for girls’ JV soccer and assistant coach for boys’ JV basketball. He lives on Evans Dorm with his wife, Amy, who is dorm head, and their daughter, Savannah.
