Chris began his career as a member of the Spanish faculty at Episcopal High School in 1989. After seven successful years in the classroom, he elected to pursue a master’s in Spanish at Middlebury College in Madrid, Spain. Subsequently, Chris has used his expertise in Spanish as a translator for a consulting firm, a technical writer, and a director of a summer studies program in Spain. He believes that “EHS provides the best possible environment for infusing students with passion for academics, arts, athletics, and leadership.”

Chris is an author of “Cuenta conmigo,” a textbook based on the number-one television series in Spain. He wrote it while on sabbatical in Segovia in 2005-06, and he currently uses it in his classes.

He enjoys returning to Segovia most summers as director of Episcopal’s Summer Program in Spain. Chris is also the director of curriculum technology, Web publications advisor, serves on the activities team, and is a student advisor. Chris lives on campus with his wife, Diana, their son, Henry, and daughter, Caroline.
